During the past few months, we have had two more weddings postponed until 2022 but are hopeful we can host two other ones later this year. Likely it will be a very busy time at time at the chapel next year.
As we may have mentioned in the spring update the Society held its 2019-2020 Annual General Meeting on January 30th this year or almost a year late. However, the provincial government realized the situation regarding the pandemic so accepted our Annual Report. To get things back on track we are going to have to hold another AGM over the next month or so for our 2020-21 operating year.
Starting in April we began to clean the interior and exterior of both the chapel and schoolhouse as well improve some of the landscaping. In addition, we should mention that Colleen MacGregor, our super gardener, has once again helped the society and maintains the centre garden area which everyone agrees has never looked better. Over the next few months additional improvements to other garden areas will be undertaken and we will touch up the painting of the two buildings where needed.
