Welcome to the

Fairbridge Chapel Heritage Society

The Fairbridge Chapel Heritage Society was established in October 1987. Concerned citizens in the community petitioned the Cowichan Valley Regional District to allow a small Society to assume responsibility for the ongoing restoration, preservation, maintenance and administration of this important historic site.

We hope you will take time to peruse our site. It provides history about the site and buildings, the development of the Prince of Wales Fairbridge Farm School, and a Time Line section. There is also more information about our Society, programs, how to book the Chapel for a wedding or a tour, and how to contact us. In addition, we have included a Photo Gallery and Links to other information about Kingsley Fairbridge and the farm school movement elsewhere in the world, various associations that, in the past, were involved with the British child emigration movement or are telling the stories about their particular school available through the internet for everyone. If there are other good internet sites that we should be adding please contact us with the information. Lastly we have added a few other links to museums, historic sites and local community organizations within our central area of the Cowichan Valley.
